Health & safety on top of the world – together we’ll ensure a safe & healthy glacier winter 2021/22
We are currently experiencing special times, and the desire for a skiing holiday is growing. After the restrictions of the last months, being outside and exploring nature is a valuable experience. That’s why we are looking forward to starting the winter at the 5 Tyrolean Glaciers, and we would like to inform you about the current health & safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Important information: All developments are continuously evaluated, and further measures are implemented if necessary. The 5 Tyrolean Glaciers will take all the necessary steps to ensure our guests a safe and enjoyable winter in the Tirolean mountains.
Safety measures at the ski resorts:
General information and notice boards:
There are notice boards that will inform you about the current Covid-19 compliance guidelines. These rules and instructions must be followed, and the recommendations for behaviour must be implemented. If you have any questions or queries, do not hesitate to directly contact one of the cable car employees.
Protective face mask (or scarf) covering the nose and mouth:
When travelling in a cable car, the same mandatory guidelines apply as when travelling on public transport.
Wearing protective face masks covering the nose and mouth is mandatory in the cable cars. Moreover, you have to wear a mask in enclosed areas (bottom, middle & top stations of the mountain lifts, areas around the cash desks and ticket offices, shops, ski depots, toilets, etc.) and on the ski busses.
Please make sure you don’t forget your masks or tissues in the cable car. Dispose your single-use masks properly.
Observe the general hygiene rules. Wash your hands regularly with soap or use a disinfectant. There are disinfection dispensers at the cable car stations as well as the mountain restaurants.
Using cable cars:
Please make sure there is enough fresh air circulation in the cable car. The cable cars and lifts are disinfected regularly by our employees.
If possible, please visit the restaurants outside the peak hours (12:00-13:00) to avoid crowds.
You can avoid queues at the ski resort if you buy your ski pass online. Buy your ski pass here:
If possible, pay contactless when buying your ski pass directly at the ski resort.
During the ski course it is difficult to keep a minimum distance, e.g. when helping someone up after a fall. Therefore, a mask has to be worn. We recommend booking ski courses in small groups or individual ski lessons. Child care will be available; special hygienic measures will be in place. For further information, contact the ski schools directly.
All the employees of the cable cars have committed themselves to wearing a face mask. Employees are tested regularly. The staff has received all the latest information on safety measures and will gladly answer questions you may have.
Show personal responsibility and protect your own health and the health of others. If you show Covid-19 symptoms, stay in your accommodation, immediately contact the reception, or call the health hotline 1450 https://www.1450.at/1450-die-gesundheitsnummer/ (only in German).

Accommodation and hotels:
According to the current regulation, the “Three Gs” rule applies when accessing a hospitality location, which means that guests must be able to show a valid negative test result, a vaccination certificate, or proof that they have recovered from COVID-19. In addition, guests must provide their contact details (registration obligation). It goes without saying that all establishments of the 5 Tyrolean Glaciers observe the highest standards of hygiene. Details about the individual measures relating to COVID-19 can be found on the respective hotel websites. The current rules of conduct which apply at hospitality locations can be found here.
