Kaunertal (1,273 - 3,160 m): Waiting
for the lifts? Not at Kaunertal. That’s
because from September until mid June you can look forward to the pleasure of skiing here without suffering the long queues. There is even a new 8-person gondola that crosses the three-thousand-metre mark. Thus the new Karlesjochbahn
brings yet more comfort to the Kaunertal Glacier. The detachable
8-seater cable car starts right by the
Weißsee glacier restaurant at an elevation of 2,750 metres and its gondolas are even equipped with heated seats.

Besides the amazing outlook from Dreiländerblick (three country view) right at the top station, the new cable car provides access to three runs (black, red and blue) as well as a range of excellent off-piste descents. The glacier also boasts one of the best fun parks in the Alps, attracting followers of both the snowboard and freeskiing scenes. The snow park is popular with beginners and pros alike, offering a pro, medium and easy line for your enjoyment!
